“Some things ... arrive on their own
mysterious hour, on their own terms and not
yours, to be seized or relinquished
forever.”
-- Gail Godwin
“The vision must be followed by the venture.
It is not enough to stare up the steps -- we
must step up the stairs.”

Proverb
“Twenty years from now, you will be more
disappointed by the things you didn't do
than by the ones you did do. So throw off
the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
-- Mark Twain
“Each indecision brings its own delays and
days are lost lamenting over lost days...
What you can do or think you can do, begin
it. For boldness has magic, power, and
genius in it.”
-- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Everyone
who has ever taken a shower has had an idea.
It’s the person
who gets out of the shower, dries off, and
does something about it that
makes a difference.” -- Nolan Bushnell
Have
you had good ideas and insights and never
acted upon them?
Our soul often sparks us with the right
guidance, love and power to do something. In
that moment of inspiration, it sure feels
good, right and true. So often, though, that
clarity and energy doesn’t last. We get
distracted and forget. We put the idea aside
‘for now.’ We brush it off as unworkable. We
don’t bridge our soul’s inspirational idea
into tangible form.
If we don’t act on an insight, an
opportunity is lost. The unique
circumstances that gave rise to that
opportunity will never come again.
When we get a sense of something calling us
forward, we need to consciously commit to
act. When do we do this? Right away! Take
some step, any step to move an idea into
form just as soon as you can. It may mean
simply making a note to yourself on paper
but this is a start. Putting it off until
tomorrow, next week, after this project is
completed … is letting it die.
Next time an intuitive message feels right,
honour it and yourself. The more we act on
the guidance that comes to us, the more
guidance will come. Your soul is speaking to
you for a reason. Trust the process and
commit to both it and yourself.
“It is no good hearing an inner voice or
getting an inner prompting if you do not
immediately act on that inner prompting.” --
David Spangler
