To change, shift your perspectives

"We can learn to be the catalysts for our own change."
~ Sarah Ban Breathnach ~

Albert Einstein once said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I've been trapped in this insane cycle many times, though fortunately it happens much less frequently now.

So the big question is: How do we get new results? How do we break out of familiar patterns to experience life differently and create positive change?

As we realize that life is an inner game, we discover we need only shift perspectives to dramatically shift our experience. See with new eyes. When we can create a bigger playing field of understanding, the parts make more sense.

Experience this for yourself with this short exercise. Close your eyes, take a deep breath or two and bring to mind a tense or emotional situation. Be aware of your feelings. Sense how physically close this situation seems to you. Then use your imagination to physically move it away from you till you feel better. How far did you have to move it? Reflect on the situation now that the emotion has eased.

This is just one of many ways to shift perspectives. You can also shift perspectives by creating a time warp to put an issue far into the past or future. Or you can look at it through someone else's eyes.

This week we offer a new list on how to Shift Perspectives. It offers great ways to raise your consciousness, create more compassion and empower yourself. Use these quick tools often and your life will feel freer and less stressful.

This list is one of over 90 Intuitive Answer lists available to members at Higher Awareness.
