What are you aiming for?

Here is a simple test to see how focused you are:
A genie grants you a wish if you can state it within 3 seconds.
What is your primary wish or your heart’s desire? Is it on the tip of your
tongue so you can blurt it out? Are you consciously clear at any time about what
is most important to you?
Our 17 year old boy aspires to a variety of things, but often when we ask, “What
do you want?” he’s unable to respond. We’re supporting him to clearly know what
he wants and then to anchor it into his whole being.
This is a major growth step that few people understand. We need to define,
internalize, own and integrate our strongest desires to make them a clear focus
in our lives.
We anchor and internalize what we want by:
- Writing affirmations and reviewing them
daily.
- Visualizing what we want in a short mental
movie in which we play the main role
- Putting our affirmation into a question and
asking it of ourselves and others? often.
- Writing it onto recipe cards. If it is in
sight it is in mind.
- Making our request into a song or poem or
artwork.
So, if you want your life to be rewarding and
meaningful, ensure that when the genie asks you, “What is your wish?” your
answer bursts forth with great clarity and conviction.
