"Emotions are the next frontier to be understood and conquered. To manage our emotions is not to drug them or suppress them, but to understand them so that we can intelligently direct our emotional energies and intentions... It's time for human beings to grow up emotionally, to mature into emotionally managed and responsible citizens. No magic pill will do it." -- Doc Childre

*** QUESTION YOUR LIFE ***

What feelings lie beneath your experience of your problem?

Feelings Balance Questions

*** COACH'S TIP ***

Step #2: Feel your experience. We are prone to ignore, discount or misread our feelings around the problems in our lives. Yet our feelings are important keys to understanding and acceptance. As long as we hold repressed emotions, we will not heal. Remember not to judge your feelings. Allow them to be. Honour them as messages worth receiving. Although we may be afraid to truly feel our emotions, we find that once the feelings are acknowledged, they pass away. Get in touch with your feelings and you'll gain insights into your motivations. And this will allow you to change.

*** INSPIRATION ***

"Learning to be aware of feelings, how they arise and how to use them creatively so they guide us to happiness, is an essential lifetime skill." -- Joan Borysenko
