Growth Tools - Practical tools for meaningful growth
Stuck in chaos? Work ON life instead of IN life!

“ Often he who does too much does too little. ”
~ Italian Proverb ~

Hi everyone,

Doesn't it make sense to take time to steer your boat around the rocks instead of just paddling like mad?

I had to learn this lesson. At one time, my life was stuck in high speed as I continually jumped from one activity and one fire to another. It wore me out and I was not getting ahead. Too often a cold or burnout forced me to rest and regroup.

Fortunately, I now make and take the time to plan my life and then work my plan. Believe me - life is much, much better!

We offer you tools to do this every week.

At the bottom of every Growth Tools ezine we link you to the top 10 questions you can ask yourself each day, week, month and quarter year so you can focus ON your life instead of simply struggling IN your life. As the time period increases, so does the scope of the questions. These questions will help you keep the right perspective at the right times.

Daily - Take 10 minutes to answer 10 questions to manage the details of your day. Use your microscope to examine the nitty-gritty of that day's tactics and must do’s with an eye to building your awareness and efficiency. Consciously choose to eliminate your time wasters. Give yourself short breathing spaces to allow a new level of experience to happen.

Weekly - Take 30 minutes to step back from the daily details to see the bigger picture with fresh eyes. Clarify what is truly important. When we review our goals and reset priorities, we are proactive rather than simply reactive. When we manage our days rather than just the hours, we can intentionally organize our activities for best results.

Monthly - Take 60 to 90 minutes to focus on aspirations, holidays, life lessons - on what is most meaningful to you. Go beyond just goals and look at your strategies. Assess your living and working environments and important relationships. Commit to important actions that will bring change and book them into your calendar.

Quarterly and Yearly - Take at least 4 and even 8 hours to focus on your life as a whole. Reconnect with your deepest passions. Focus on balance, personal and spiritual development life purpose and rejuvenation. Get out the telescope to raise your sights and shoot for a new compelling vision.

If you are not yet totally in love with your life, commit to engage with our 'Re-Treat Yourself' process each week over the next month. As next week marks the end of this year’s first quarter, we will start by reflecting on the big picture. We will then progressively focus on how to bring that grand vision to life through working consciously with the months, weeks and days.

Trust me - this is a great way to become the captain of your own boat, skilful at catching the current, avoiding the rocks and getting where you want to go.

Until next week, connect with your deepest desires and commit to take these important next steps.
