Life Pyramid - Journaling Tool
For spiritual growth, we need to develop our higher, more conceptual mind. We
want to connect with higher concepts and energies such as values, ideas, ideals,
energies, potentials, archetypes, higher guidance and our intuition. Having
connected with these higher concepts, we then need to ground them in tasks,
projects, relationships, health, money, happiness, details, etc.
On a blank page in your journal, draw a triangle from the top centre of your
page to the outside edges at the bottom of your page. In the top inch (2.5 cm)
write one word that best reflects a key value, quality, idea or concept in your
life. About an inch or 2 (2.5 - 5 cm) down, write 2 to 3 new words that help
define that key word. About 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm) down write 4 to 6 new
words that further express that key word. Keep going down the page and writing
more words to ground the higher concepts.
This is a challenging process, but you may discover that adding the bottom
layers of words will help you fine-tune the upper layers of words.
This is a powerful tool to help you connect high ideals and ideas with practical
applications. It is a great way to make important inner connections in your mind
and create more inclusiveness and meaning in all your endeavours.
